I’ve been blessed to photograph a wedding in Germany last year on the 31st of December. Since the New year’s evening is celebrated in Germany with big fire works the couple decided to marry and celebrate a new beginning with friends and family.
The ceremony took place in a small charming church on the country side in Bavaria. It’s been a cold, yet sunny winter day.
In order to keep the couple’s privacy, I decided to leave out personal images and faces of family members.
The wedding ring box.
Since it had been Christmas a week ago, the church was still in it’s fully festive Christmas decoration.
After a beautiful ceremony the wedding party proceeded to the “Gasthaus”, called in German Language a Restaurant in the country side. There so many balloons with well wishes were send up in the air.
The “Gasthaus” fully sported in it’s Christmas spirit.
A cozy fire place to warm some frozen hands.
The guest book for everyone to sign in and some table decoration
Some German shots ” Schnaps” offered…
Mrs. and Mr. cutting the cake, the brides brother had made, oh it was filled with some a lot of cognac.
After many little shows and music entertainment, finally it was called midnight and the New Year welcomed with a giant firework.
The New Year of a wonderful marriage has begun and the couple has been showered with love.
