During my stay in Ahemadabad , India, I happened to walk into a ceremony of a Hindu devotion for Lord Krishna and I was so welcomed to be part of this.

As this is my all time favorite image of a really devoted woman.

As the light shines onto those devotional celebrations…it had opened my mind, thank you dear India.

May the light shine on the universe, for all of us.

You captured the devotion of these people well, Cornelia. The search for the light in a world of darkness is universal. It is sad to realize that in the Western civilization having its roots in the Christian faith people are neglecting the light that shines in the darkness.

Hi Cornelia, This is a stunning photo essay of the ceremony. Your portraits are wonderful, the little girl, the red-headed woman in the group and the devoted woman are beautiful. And, I love your close-ups of hands performing various ceremonial tasks. Terrific series and what a great experience you had!

    • Thank you dear Jane for your kind comment and observations. As I approached this temple out of curiosity, people came up to me and inviting me to be part of this event with my camera and didn’t mind at all to be photographed, especially after I told them that I’m coming from the US.
