A sacred flower… Plumeria….

The Plumeria , is a tropical flower growing as a tree. The name stems from a French botanist Charles Plumier, but it’s scientific name is Frangipani…

The blooms contain five waxy petals , often in different colors , the center of the eye is often yellow..

Capturing it through my lens  in my little sanctuary flower bed ,  I experienced  the Plumeria as a very sensual flower.  Because of its very  edges  and it’s captivate fragrance

The Plumeria symbolizes different meanings in different cultures … like in Hindu culture it presents dedication and devotion.. In the Hawaiin  culture it stands for positivity   … In Buddhism it symbolizes immortality
