two bif peonies are growing in our garden but not with this fine colour graduation that Peter mentions. Our peonies are dark red. Great photos. Thank for sharing.

I adore peonies Cornelia and miss them terribly. I guess our climate in the south is not good for them but I had a beautiful patch of them in our NJ home years ago. I think perhaps they are the most perfect flower of all and you’ve shown that perfectly!
Indeed they don’t grow in our climate here, but I get every year a bouquet for myself from Trader Joe’s and I must say they last quite a long time. Thank you so much for sharing your thoughts and your kind comment, Tina. Have an inspiring great week.
