The magic of nature…Fern

Since Covid took place I haven’t gone far to any places to photograph. Yet I discovered the magic of nature right in front of my door.

One of those days as I opened my front door, quickly I grabbed my camera and let it dive into the “underworld” of the Fern.

It was just magic unfolding in front of my lens, the  splendid masses of Fern

The little dots being seen under the leaves are spores which reproduce themselves being dispersed by the wind and than fertilize.

Just a simple plant like Fern has the power to remind us of the magic of nature.

Enjoy what you see and feel.

  1. Nature in scenic locales or just outside has so much beauty. Only of we have eyes to appreciate it. You have done well to capture that magic Cornelia ♥️

Beauty lies in simplicity! You just have to have an eye for it. And some creative touches make it a joy for ever. Great pictures Cornelia, thanks for sharing!

Lovely frames, as always. Ferns do not grow naturally in our landscape since it is a semi-arid, hot climate. These are best seen in the Himalayas, their natural habitat in this part of the world.

  4. Wow what amazing photographs, Conrelia. The green ferns are looking so full of life and joyousness. Too good.

  5. Peter Klopp says:

I often took photos of the fern, because I find its graceful forms intriguing. Your pictures show details that I have not noticed before. The tiny black dots in your macros add beauty and purpose to the humble fern plant. Great photography, Cornelia!

  6. Jane Lurie says:

You’ve beautifully captured the often overlooked side of the fern, Cornelia. The patterns and textures of the underside have always fascinated me. Terrific homage.
