A butterfly is a symbol of happiness and good luck to follow you in the future
I recently went to the Butterfly House in Palos Verdes , CaliforniaThis is the chrysalis , before it hatches to a butterflyThe food station of grapefruits The blue morphus before opening it’s wingsHere it is in all its beauty unfolded. They are really hard to captured since they move so quickly
The most common is the Monarch butterfly
Butterflies also symbolize spiritual growth and wisdom . They landed on my hat, arms and even on my camera, so I guess I got lots of wisdom from this mesmerizing visit. Enjoy what you see
In my photography work I thrive to capture the soul of the moment. I let my images speak the language of stillness and vibration, with that I leave my audience to find their own reflections and emotions. My approach in my work is to lead other's to their own imagination and freedom of dreams. I invite you to visit my web site www.corneliaweber-photography.com
Wonderful captures of these nicely colored butterflies. Good to have such butterfly houses that give us the chance to discover these tropical creatures. I once visited such house in the Netherlands.
Have a nice week,
Rudi
Thank you Rudi, it makes me happy that you enjoyed them. Now I’m trying to raise butterflies at my little place, because I’m just so mesmerized by them. Have a great week.
Dear Cornelia,
here an excerpt from my “Lexikon der Symbole” keyword ‘Schmetterling’:
Great pictures. Thanks for sharing

Dear Klausbernhard, danke dir fuer diese wundervollen Zitate, ja natuerlich Novalis. I have read that too, of course that butterflies can be a symbol of death, as it is demonstrated in so many old paintings and still lives. Indeed there is much spirituality symbolized in butterflies. Danke dir vielmals fuer deine wunderbare Antwort und Kommentar. Many greetings from the other side of the globe.
What a wonderful idea to have a butterfly house! Your photos bring joy to my heart. I believe that the message of love and happiness is present every time we marvel at the beauty of a butterfly.
Wise women welcome butterflies into their lives! I remember visiting a butterfly house in Newport Beach years ago with my mother. They loved her white hair and landed all over her head. Now that I’m grey-haired, I wonder if they’ll find me as attractive. I’ll have to go see!!! I put large Monarch caterpillars and milkweed in an airy box and watch them form their chrysalises. So far this year, I’ve hatched 3 beautiful adults. When my dad was still alive, we hatched dozens every month. It’s like watching magic before your very eyes…complete metamorphosis is astoundingly beautiful. You can’t beat Nature’s way !!!!
Linda that’s so wonderful what you share with me, thank you. They all landed on me, because I was wearing a hat and they seemed to be attracted by that. I am going to get some caterpillars from Esty , also bought some nice plants for them to hatch. It’s truly a miracle to watch them. Hope to see you on the 21rst at Helga’s.
A Butterfly House. The very name conjures up fairy tale fantasy images. As if the most beautiful of flowers have shaken the earth from there feet and taken wing. How can butterflies be anything but magic. We have turned half our vegetable garden into a butterfly-bee garden Cornelia.. When a Monarch butterfly visited the garden I was thrilled beyond belief. How wonderful that we share our admiration of butterflies, Virginia. Loving your beautiful poetic comment, thank you for enjoying. I’m trying to raise butterflies in my little flowerbed. Have a wonderful week.
When my son was in preschool , I used to take him at Moody Gardens in Galveston. They have this butterfly garden and we would watch them feed on the fruits. Thank you for this wonderful post, not only are the pictures beautiful but it brought beautiful memories. Take care.

Beautiful captures, as always. The butterflies in my city are not as colorful so this is a treat for the eyes.
